Because so many different kinds of electronic devices are so widely available, users tend to switch products at the drop of a hat as soon as the tiniest problem arises. When mobile phones and computers malfunction, people rush to discard their old devices and buy new ones.
But this is often a waste of money – a waste that could be avoided with a professional repair job, especially when that repair is easily arranged, restores the device to a functional state, and allows the owner to keep using the device with a minimum of expense. So if you're looking for a more economical solution that also spares you the hassle of transferring memory, apps, and images to a new device – why not consider turning to someone who can refurbish, repair, and restore life to your cellular phone?
The Mobile Clinic – for all types of device
The Mobile Clinic, founded three and a half years ago, is a store and repair lab for mobile phones and computers. The Mobile Clinic sells and repairs cellular phones and computers of all kinds, using only original parts, with an emphasis on outstanding service in Hebrew, English, and French.
The owner, Yohan Alimi, immigrated to Israel from France after a year and a half of working at Apple. Alimi has expertise in the iOS system and years of experience in repairing all types of operating systems and devices.
Skilled and professional staff
"The Mobile Clinic is unique in several ways," says Yohan. "Firstly, we also sell and repair computers, which is something that's harder and harder to find in Tel Aviv and the rest of the country. I can tell you that in most of the places where you'd take a MacBook that has a problem, they'd immediately suggest replacing it without even checking it, though sometimes the repair would cost just 300 shekels.
"Another thing we do differently," Yohan continues, "is that we also offer motherboard repair. These are more complicated repair jobs called 'micro soldering' that require a relatively high skill level that's hard to find in Israel."
Yohan relates that the most common repairs he's called upon to make are screen, charger port, and battery replacements, but because he offers motherboard repair, he gets many jobs of this kind as well. "If the cell phone fell in the water, or isn't turning on at all, you can come to us, and in many instances we can fix the problem," he says.
Reliable and service-oriented
Repair isn't, of course, always feasible. That's why Yohan is careful to give his customers a complete and reliable picture: "We won't advise a customer to buy a new device no matter what. I always talk things over with the customer, tell him what the exact situation is as I see it, and let him make a decision based on cost versus benefit. In my view, it's usually worth it to repair rather than replace, but if the repair doesn't justify the cost, then we offer a wide variety of devices at excellent prices, and also import new and refurbished devices with warranties."
New service: repairs to your door
The Mobile Clinic has stayed open during the coronavirus lockdowns – with limits, of course, on the number of customers who can be in the store at any given time. Due to the circumstances, the business has started offering a new delivery service, in which the malfunctioning device is picked up from the customer's home, repaired, and returned.
"Even during lockdowns we're eager to reach people and help them, whether they're in quarantine or just don't want to go into stores," Yohan explains, concluding: "We deal with all kinds of devices, including cell phones and computers; we also do complicated repair jobs, and we believe in uncompromising service.
